Psychiatric Evaluations

A psychiatric evaluation is a comprehensive psychiatric examination. Our evaluations aim to clear diagnosis and individualistic treatment plans. Our Psychiatrist will determine what information to use based on the formal test results.  It may be used to diagnose problems with memory, thought processes, and behaviors. Diagnoses can include depression, schizophrenia, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and addiction. During the initial diagnostic evaluation, your provider will ask about your present symptoms in the context of your psychiatric, substance use, personal, family, and social history.

How long does it take?

The duration of a psychiatric evaluation varies from one person to another. The amount of information needed helps to determine the amount of time the assessment takes. Typically, a psychiatric evaluation lasts for 20 to 45 minutes.
